Spiritus Ministries Northwest is a Washington non-profit corporation (501c-3) whose ministry is two-fold.

   1.  We seek to provide opportunities for teens to experience their Catholic faith in ways that will leave a lasting impression on their lives and souls. Our focus is to provide these positive character-building activities in the Pacific Northwest. The annual Steubenville Northwest weekend conference and INCREASE!, a community service project, are the two faith-building opportunities we have dedicated to youth at this time.

   2.   We plan and sponsor retreats and trainings for adults who work specifically with teens in the Catholic church setting. These special events create opportunities for a renewal of the Holy Spirit so adults can "recharge the batteries" and hone the technical and practical skills they use in working with teens as they lead them closer to Jesus Christ.

STEUBENVILLE NW CONFERENCE BACKGROUND:

Steubenville Northwest is one of 19 summer high school youth conferences co-sponsored by Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.  Since starting as a single conference on the campus of Franciscan University in 1976, the conferences have now spread to 14 sites across the country and Canada.  Over 38,000 youth each summer have encountered Christ's personal love and been challenged to grow in their faith through the mission of the Catholic Church at these conferences.  Centered upon the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation, high school teens encounter our Father's loving mercy, forgiveness, and compassion in a dynamic and life-changing way.
